Project: Advanced computing and heuristics for higher dimensional Voronoi complexes and applications (DC8)

Supervisor: Philippe Elbaz-Vincent

Location: Université Grenoble Alpes, France

My name is Alejandro de la Torre Durán, and I am from Galicia, Spain. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at the University of Santiago de Compostela, where I worked on representations of Lie algebras under the supervision of Prof. Díaz Ramos and Prof. Sanmartín López. I continued my studies in Bonn, Germany, completing my Master's thesis on properly convex projective structures under the supervision of Prof. Hamenstädt and Prof. Beyrer.

During my early PhD studies, I had the opportunity to do two summer research stays: one at ICMAT in Madrid with Prof. Margolis, and another at Osaka University with Prof. Baba. These experiences encouraged me to pursue a research career. Currently, I am working on the cohomology of arithmetic groups, with a special focus on the structural properties of the Voronoi complex, under the supervision of Prof. Elbaz-Vincent.
