Project: Twisted characteristic classes, symplectic groups and Hermitian K-theory of number fields (DC10)

Supervisor: Jean Fasel

Location: Université Grenoble Alpes, France

Tao Huang is a PhD student in mathematics at Institut Fourier, Université Grenoble Alpes. He obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Mathematics from Sun Yat-sen University. His research focuses on motivic homotopy theory and the development of new mathematical tools for studying geometric structures with symmetries, especially symplectic and quadratic bundles. In his PhD project, he works on algebraic symplectic cobordism, combining theoretical methods with explicit computations to better understand cohomology theories arising in algebraic geometry and topology. He is supervised by Jean Fasel
